Reuse Westchester was founded to
Promote, Connect, and Reuse
Our Impact
Before Reuse Westchester, information on where to go to give away a certain item was difficult to find. It shouldn’t take hours to find directions to charities in the area. Reuse Westchester not only showcases charities throughout the county but also categorizes them for easy public use. Additionally, Reuse Westchester serves as a platform where people in need can quickly request specific goods from the rest of the community instead of having to drive far away to places where they might not even find what they are looking for.
We aim to transform Westchester County into a less economically divided community by connecting towns throughout the area. We aim to aid those living in poverty by linking them with those who have so much to give. Now, with Reuse Westchester, people living in towns with median household incomes greater than $200,000 can connect more easily than ever with those living in extreme poverty. We are taking action.
Reuse Westchester’s mission is to establish a lasting and effective connection between all communities in Westchester County, New York in order to provide the necessary goods to the needy, while simultaneously lowering the economic diversity of the area, reducing waste, and improving the recycling rates of the county.
